At Heritage Music our goals are to provide the best quality instruments at a fair price. We concentrate on acoustic instruments, specialising in guitars, mandolins, banjos and ukuleles. We aim to give acoustic players the attention they deserve. Quality and service are the key words in our business.
Vic has been playing guitar and writing songs since he was 15. He played in bands such as Mirkwood, the Mood, King Billy and the NDP, up and down the east coast of Australia for many years, performing original material and inspiring many other musicians such as the Sunny Boys.
In 2000 Vic moved to the USA where he met Eric Schoenberg and was converted to a finger picker. He worked with Eric at Schoenberg Guitars in Tiburon, California, selling and setting up vintage acoustic instruments. See Vic's farewell concert with Eric Schoenberg. Vic returned to Australia inspired to continue that work here. Heritage Music, Bellingen is the outcome of his passion.
Heritage Music offers lessons in guitar, banjo, mandolin, ukulele and lap steel, taught by Paul Bulanyi.
From the age of 11, when he was given his first guitar, Paul hasn't stopped playing. While playing in bands and jamming, he trained for 8 years in classical guitar, including at the Western Australian conservatorium of music.
The following 6 years were dedicated to jazz, particularly the gypsy swing style of Django Reinhardt. Since then he has pursued many diverse and eclectic projects, either as leader or hired hand. These range from steel guitar and singing in a Hawaiian band, mandolin in a klezmer band, lead guitar in blues and cover bands, touring in a circus band, a tango band and a world music/jazz concert band.
